Our customers want a simple and convenient way to claim prizes from $600 to $5,000, and some prefer to handle their
claim in person. That’s been a challenge since the end of bank cashing.
How we can help. By utilizing our state’s racinos and building a network of credentialed Super Retailers to cash prizes
from $600 to $5,000. It’s been a long-term goal. Once re-opened, the Ohio Lottery's regional offices will also resume the
cashing of mid-tier prize claims.

Ohio Lottery scratch-off games account for approximately 54% of our
total sales. Our higher price point tickets -- $10, $20 and $30 games
-- account for 64.7% of our total scratch-off sales. Many retailers are
reluctant to sell these higher-priced games or reluctant to sell more than
just a few of these games – if you fall into either of these categories, you
are losing revenue.
One ticket for $20, or 20, $1 tickets?
Sometimes it may seem like your players prefer the lower-priced games
because they purchase these games more often or in larger quantities.
However, a player purchasing one $20 game is quicker and easier for
your clerk than selling $20 worth of $1 to $5 games with the same
profit margin. Our $10 games are our highest-selling scratch-offs and
our $20, $10 and $30 games respectively are seeing the highest rate of
growth among all price points offered. Players will purchase these games
from you if they are carried and displayed properly in your store.
