We’re excited as we know the theatre will be a part of the borough’s future culture offer. The 2018 programme is jam-packed, showcasing local talent as well as the return of some regular favourites with exciting productions to suit all ages and taste. The theatre is looking forward to continuing the work with schools, young people as well as our partners at High House Production Park and local organisations such as the excellent Thurrock Arts Trail and Thurrock Arts Council. Thurrock’s Great Little Theatre 11 Full House Theatre Company Bedfordshire based Full House Theatre Company will tour their curtain raiser piece By The Light Of The Moon to schools and community venues in Thurrock. The full performance of The Owl and The Pussycat will then be shown at the Thameside Theatre to the schools they visited. This will allow the school children to see two theatre productions - one in familiar surroundings and one in the theatre to help nurture a connection with the arts. NEBT is also committed to introducing dance to new audiences and young people. NEBT have recently become a resident company at the Thameside Theatre. In commemoration of the WWI armistice centenary, Remembrance is a one act narrative ballet telling a story of love, loss and devotion through the challenges of war, based around the life of one of the most influential dancers of the twentieth century, Marie Rambert. The Four Seasons is an abstract piece set to Max Richter’s ‘Recomposed: Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons’. This updated version of a classic portrays each of the seasons with new energy and joy.
