Dear Bishop Colli, Spiritual Advisors, and Sisters in the League,
The Council of Church of the Annunciation cordially invite you to our community
of Nipigon for the 67th Annual Catholic Women's League Diocesan Convention
to be held on Friday May 1st to Sunday May3rd.
The theme this year is CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME
and the continuation of the Works of Mercy in reaching out to those who are
lonely and feel isolated.
We look forward to seeing you here for a weekend of prayer, sharing and
learning new ideas, reuniting with old friends and meeting new ones.
It is also our hope that you will return to your councils refreshed, inspired and
empowered to continue to work of the Church and our League

Dear Sisters in the League, Spiritual Advisors and guests,
On behalf of the Thunder Bay Diocesan CWL Executive and our Diocesan
Spiritual Advisor, Fr. Michael Mahoney, I would like to welcome you to the
67th Annual Catholic Women’s League Convention, hosted by the Council of
the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, Nipigon, Ontario.
In response to our National Theme of Care for our Common Home, the
emphasis of water conservation and preservation is emphasized during this
Convention.
We wish you all every success in your endeavors to celebrate this
convention, to make new friends, exchange ideas, celebrate your faith and
renew old friendships.
May you have a wonderful time in beautiful Nipigon, Ontario.

For your health and enjoyment, we are hosting a scent free convention.
CONVENION VENUES:
Sessions to take place at St. Edward Catholic School.
Friday night will feature a special Spiritual Directors Dinner as well as a Dinner for delegates.
Saturday Banquet and Social will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion.
Masses will take place at the Church of the Annunciation
A map and further details will be provided with Registration Confirmation Letters
COMMUNICATIONS
We are attempting to conduct all communication via email. If you are unable to register
through email please refer to the registration form for alternate communication methods.
Please be vigilant in checking your email address often. A confirmation email that you have
received and read an email would be greatly appreciated.
ACCOMODATIONS
You are responsible for booking your own accommodations. Please refer to the attached list of
Motels in the area. Please book before April 1st.
DIETARY NEEDS
If you have dietary needs or restrictions, please be sure to outline them on the back of the
registration form as requested.
FRIDAY PARKING
Parking at the school is limited on Friday afternoon. It may be necessary for you to drop off
guests and find parking. The school does have a roundabout so you can easily drop off guests.
SATURDAY BANQUET
Please keep in mind if you are attending the banquet only, and not any other sessions, there is
a $10 registration fee, in addition to the banquet ticket.
Saturday’s banquet will be a buffet with a wide variety of meal choices for all dietary needs.
There will be after dinner entertainment. A cash bar will be available.
SUNDAY LUNCH
Lunch will be provided after the closing Mass. For those travelling this can be a bag lunch with a
drink to take with you.
CHARITABLE DONATION
There will be a collection at the opening mass on Friday. Monies received from the collection
will go to St. Edward Catholic School breakfast program.
