Capability Statement Introduction Thompson Cole is an established firm of chartered quantity surveyors and project managers. Since its formation over 20 years ago, Thompson Cole has managed and contributed to the successful completion of a wide range of construction projects both in the UK and overseas. The firm has a strong reputation for providing a proactive and reliable service, particularly in the prime residential refurbishment market in central London. We are also known for our extensive experience with historic buildings. Capability Statement Our Company Directors Structure James Jamieson BSc (Hons), MRICS James has been a director of Thompson Cole for over 20 years and took over as managing director in 2009. He has extensive experience in the central London market in both quantity surveying and contract administration across a variety of sectors. He is also responsible for developing and heading up the company’s frameworks with repeat clients, specifically London estates. Lance Page BSc (Hons), MSc, MRICS Lance has significant experience in quantity surveying and project management roles in the UK and overseas, and has been a director of Thompson Cole since 2006. Lance initially qualified as a chartered quantity surveyor, but also holds a master’s degree in project management. Daren Hauserman ICIOB Daren heads up the project management team. He joined Thompson Cole back in 2015 bringing 30 years of construction and project management experience to the team, following successful employment at one of the UK’s largest construction contractors, Laing O’Rourke, and developer, Grosvenor. Daren’s knowledge and experience has proved invaluable when delivering projects ranging from complex residential and commercial refurbishments to new build mixed development schemes located in Mayfair and Belgravia, in the heart of London. Thomas Frisby BSc (Hons), MSc, MRICS, MSCSI, MCIArb Thomas has been a key member of the team since joining in August 2010. He was recently appointed as a director in February 2020. Thomas is a chartered quantity surveyor with further qualifications in construction law and dispute resolution. He has gained significant experience through working on building projects for one of London’s most prestigious estates and other high-profile private clients. 6
