Volume 1 | Issue 27 September 25, 2020 The WBC Quarantimes “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on Verse all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” Acts 2:17 Youth Sunday is here. Before the coronavirus pandemic took over, we were gearing up for our annual Youth Sunday service. The youth had planned, prayed, and were ready to go. Then everything paused. During this trying time, they have been one of those groups hit the hardest. From children to college students, their expected schedules were massively altered. Events they look forward to their whole lives were cancelled (i.e. proms, graduations, camps, etc.). And though the young have been less susceptible than adults to infection from COVID-19, many still have been infected, hospitalized, and even died from the virus. There have even been some of our young people at WBC who have gone through having the virus. All that to say that this has been a scary, trying time for many of our young people. And yet, here they are, ready to lead worship at WBC. Their faith remains strong. Their passion has not waned. And they are readying themselves to be used by God. Whether on campus or watching the live-stream, this Sunday will be a Sunday you won’t want to miss. The number involved will be understandably lower than in the past. The format will be slightly altered compared to past youth Sundays. The message will remain the same. Jesus Christ is here with us. And Jesus is true and just and still in control. We can trust Him. We must live for Him. We must give the world Jesus. We hope you will tune in or show up. Blessings, Pastor Chris
2 “If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if Verse we are in our right mind, it is for you.” 2 Corinthians 5:13 Luke 10:2

6 The end of life on this earth can be a lonely time, even for the Christian who knows a better life awaits. We are so grateful for the way you embraced our earthly father over the past 18 months. You welcomed him as a dear member of God’s family, your family… he felt loved and encouraged through your many acts of kindness. He was amazed and so very thankful for your acceptance and support. Of course, this time has been trying for our family…especially, Ed and I in trying to care for him and ultimately the loss we have felt in his passing. You have been a cherished part of this journey… you have loved us as God loves us, in a wonderful example of Christ ministering through you as individuals and as the body of Christ. It seems so inadequate, but thank you so much for all you have done…cards, visits, prayers, calls, texts, food, gift cards, porch visits, etc. We are forever grateful, we love you, and so proud to have you as a church family. Ed & Vickie Curtis. Additionally, Chris & Kathy McSwain, Mandy & Cameron Dellinger, Becca McSwain & fiancé Spencer Kilby express their appreciation.
