St. Joseph Council celebrates St John Vianney Stable The Four Dreams of Joseph Dear Brother Knights, On December 19th, the St. John Vianney Church ministries Thank you so much for your time and talent in the assemble of the celebrated its first-ever Drive-By Christmas Event. Each of the Stable in front of our Parish. My appreciation to Brian Fitzgerald, parish ministries chose a particular religious theme, decorated a John Genzel, PGK Joe Clark, Craig Turner, PGK Jim Jetmore, tent/booth along the back road into the parish, and then greeted Mark Perreault, John Ekblom, Jordan & Megan Trejo and cars loaded with parishioners as they drove down the road. Megan’s father. May the Lord give you all his blessings. Each car was presented with a small gift and an explanation of the religious theme that ministry was sponsoring. Fittingly Eric enough, Eric Rodriguez, Grand Knight of the St. Joseph Council, chose “The Four Dreams of St. Joseph” as our theme. He put together a handout explaining the 4 dreams: 1) In Matthew 1: 20-21, Joseph is told not to be afraid to take Mary as his wife, because she has conceived by the Holy Spirit 2) In Matthew 2:13, Joseph is warned to leave Bethlehem and flee to Egypt 3) In Matthew 2:19-20, while in Egypt, Joseph is told that it is safe to go back to Israel 4) In Matthew 2:22, after being warned in a dream, Joseph departs for the region of Galilee instead of going to Judea. Each car was given a Prayer Pamphlet and a bookmark from the Shrine as their gift from the Knights, along with the handout explaining the dreams. The Council tent was staffed by PGK Joe Clark and Mark & Toys for Tots Marty Bassett. Many thanks to Eric for putting the event Dear Brother Knights, together, and Joe, Marty & Mark for staffing the booth I’m very happy to report that after the approval of the use of the COVID-19 allotment to help the children of our Community, we were able to make a difference of the lives of many boys and girls. Today (12/14/20) we delivered $2,510.00 of toys to SJV Parrish, HOPE Community Center and Toys for Tots. In all we purchased and delivered over 300 toys for boys and girls from 2 to 16 years old. Thank you to Tom, Mark and Andrew for your gift of Time & Talent and a special THANK YOU to Vanessa (my dear wife) for the hours she enjoyed getting the toys for this beautiful and great cause. AMEN!!! MARY QUEEN OF THE KNIGHTS Our Lady Queen of the Knights, bless all the activities of our order. Keep us true to the pledge to extend the Kingship of thy Divine Son on earth. Through thine intercession win for us the grace ever to exemplify in our public and private lives, the virtues, which should characterize those specially dedicated to the service of the heavenly court. Make us always aware that as your Knights we are constantly observed and our faith judged and our order appreciated. Accept, O Mary, this renewed pledge of fealty and devotion of thy See the Toys for Tots Commanders Award issued to our Council servants the Knights of Columbus. Amen. on the last page. JANUARY 2021 6
