THE TUDOR ROSE Chestnut Street, Borden, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8BT Located to the South West of Sittingbourne in Kent, the Tudor Rose is a well established family friendly Pub & Restaurant in Borden village. Dating back to 1750, the Tudor Rose wears its age well with hard wood floors, oak furniture and paintings of the local area lining the walls. It retains its classic, cosy Kentish pub feel and has benefited from an internal redecoration in the last year. Currently trading as a food led business with a very strong winter trade, the Tudor Rose is popular for it’s a la Carte menu and specials board full of classic British dishes during the week and it hosts a popular Carvery with all the trimmings in the upstairs dining room every Sunday. The Tudor Rose is very much the venue of choice for a high volume of local private events, weddings and after funeral gatherings. Internally on the ground floor you will find a large bar area with snug used for relaxed drinking and dining space for approx. 40 covers, together with a bright, airy conservatory for a further 40 covers. The Sunday Carvery and private events are held upstairs on the first floor in a private dining room for a further 80 covers. The trade kitchen is of a good size on the ground floor and there is also a second holding kitchen on the first floor. To the back of the back of the property you will find a large grassed trade garden with bench seating for approx. 60 covers and there is also a private customer car park, along with plenty of street side parking. The private accommodation at the Tudor Rose comes in the form of a two bed cottage located just a few doors up from the pub with private off road parking. After ten years, Shepherd Neame is now looking for new tenants to take on the successful running of the Tudor Rose, so for more information or to arrange a formal viewing of the site, please contact the Trade Recruitment Co-ordinator.
