Building in Pusing, Perak. Since 1997, Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey Cheah AO and Jeffrey Cheah
Foundation have donated more than RM5 million in support of the school’s development.
World Environment Day Celebration – June 2019
In conjunction with the
globally celebrated World
Environment Day, Sunway
Property celebrated and
pledged for a better
planet. Sunway Property
Managing Director,
Sarena Cheah, and senior
management of
respective regions made a
surprise visit to each
department and
distributed repurposed
soaps under the Soapful
project to the staff.

As part of #sunwayforgood Raya
cheer initiative, Sunway became
the first corporation in Malaysia to
aid the needy by sponsoring rice
ATM machines across the Klang
Valley, Perak, Penang and Johor.
The rice ARM machine gives our
rice supply in desired quantity
and has a donation compartment
to receive cash funds from the
public. Apart from rice ATM
machines, more than 7,000
packs of bubur lambuk were
distributed to feed the homeless.

Teach For Malaysia Week, 23rd September 2019 Teach For Malaysia Week (TFM) is one of TFM’s most significant events where key influencers, including corporate figures, celebrities and members of the civil service spend time as “teachers” themselves for a day, co-teaching a lesson in school with a TFM Fellow. Sarena Cheah, Managing Director of Sunway Property shared her experience and insights on marketing with 30 students of a high-need school in Setapak.
Shine A Light on Sustainability and Rock the Goals

The event was a celebration of

Deepavali Cheer Programme in bringing
joy to more than 900 underserved
Perakian school children at the Sunway
Lost Word of Tambun, Ipoh. Aside from
bringing smiles to the community, this
programme included distribution of basic
school supplies and upgrading of school

helped a few charity homes with their
needs and the good deed was carried
out again this year among our
employees. Our mission was to help
increase awareness, collect cash and
donation items for five
underprivileged homes: Yayasan
Sunbeams Home, Rainbow Home,
Persatuan Rumah Kanak-Kanak Ini
Di-Sayangi (K.I.D.S), Persatuan
Kebajikan Rumah Victory Malaysia

More than 7000 Malaysians, including
cancer survivors, swarmed Sunway City
Kuala Lumpur recently as part of Sunway
The Good Run, back for its second year
in aid for cancer awareness and
prevention. Runners sprinted across the
elevated Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) –
Sunway Line tracks and around Sunway
City Kuala Lumpur. Held in conjunction
with Sunway Medical Centre’s 20th
anniversary, it was supported by Rapid KL
and Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya.
The run collected approximately
RM275,000 and will support medical
treatment costs for cancer patients of the
B40 group via the Media Prima-NSTP
Humanitarian Fund.Makeover for the Special Needs Children Classroom of Sekolah
Kebangsaan Taman Universiti 2 @ Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Universiti 2,
15th, 16th and 19th November 2019
Before the year ends, several Business Units
in Sunway Iskandar decided to come together
to give the Special Needs Classroom of
Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Universiti 2 a
makeover. Walls were given a fresh coat of
paint, old cabinets were replaced, even a
beautiful mural was produced to give the
room a pop of colour. The students were seen
smiling from ear to ear when their eyes laid on

As Christmas was
approaching, Sunway
Property decided to end
the year on a good note
hence, the team visited a
total of five welfare homes.
The item donations
collected in October during
our internal engagement
were distributed equally as
well as a bank transfer of

Back in September, the
#JomMakanIconsOfMalaysia digital
contest was held with the theme “Show
Your Love to Malaysian Food” which
resulted in six winners. We celebrated
their achievements at Sunway Serene
Sales Gallery with a prize giving
ceremony. The six lucky winners were
awarded with Malaysian food vouchers
to restaurants such as Madam Kwan
and Pappa Rich as well as a Sunway
Putra Hotel F&B voucher. Besides that,
a couple of game booths were set up to
entertain the crowd and winners stood a
chance to win prizes such as metal
