The Messenger Volume 75, No. 12 December 1, 2020 State Street Baptist Church, 1420 State St., Cayce, SC 29033 803 796-6123 | statestreetbaptist.org 2020 has been a tough year for all of us as we continue to navigate through life in the age of COVID-19. But two things bring hope as we close out the year. 1. We have seen God’s sovereignty shine through as we have seen new ministry opportunities arise recently here at State Street Baptist. What joy we saw on the faces of those we ministered to through the Caravan of Hope. Also, our church and our people were used to aid the Scooter Scott Project in helping High School students receive their Learner’s Permit. 2. The Christmas season is here!! I’m so looking forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus with our State Street family! Our Christmas Eve “Eve” service on December 23 at 5:30pm is going to be special because it will be the first time since March that we can all worship and Celebrate Jesus together in ONE SERVICE! I’m so thankful that Mandy Sherer will be sharing her talents with us on the organ!! I am also thrilled to go back to one service on December 27 at 10:30am. (No Children’s Church or Youth Sunday School that morning.) Let’s finish 2020 strong as we seek to give God maximum glory during this celebrated Christmas season! “For everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory. All glory to Him forever! Amen.” Romans 11:36 Pastor Chet
