2021 STATE ELECTION LOCAL PRIORITIES FOR GREATER GERALDTON The City of Greater Geraldton is calling for a commitment to the following key priorities for the Greater Geraldton Region as defined by our community in the lead up to the 2021 State Elections. Foreword The “2021 State Election Local Priorities for Greater Geraldton” calls for investment in Greater Geraldton. Geraldton lies at the heart of the Midwest Region with its diverse economy and opportunities for agriculture, aquaculture, mining, tourism, manufacturing and infrastructure opportunities. With strong infrastructure and linkages to the Asia Pacific region, our clean and green reputation for efficiency and productivity ensures our produce and resources are highly sought after. The Greater Geraldton community is inherently entrepreneurial and we believe Geraldton is a great place to live, work, invest, study and play. In our bid to entice people to call Geraldton home, our community has identified key priorities that will contribute to enhancing our city’s reputation. By investing in the largest regional capital north of Perth, the opportunity exists to support regional centres’ growth, reduce increasing congestion and pressure on infrastructure in the State’s capital. There are so many compelling reasons for people to consider making the move including quality health, education and infrastructure, cheaper housing and lower living costs, no traffic jams, fresh food and superb scenery and a world class lifestyle. We ask you to help us live into our vision of growing the capital of the Midwest.
