Spring 2022 The Communiqué 3 President’s Message: I hope everyone is ready for travel again in 2022. We have planned an exciting Convention to Burlington, Vermont for July 17 - 23, 2022. New this year is a mini post-convention. For those of us who still work and can’t extend our trips for the full post, we have created a mini post-convention that will just take one additional day. The mini post is a day trip on Saturday July 23 to Montreal, Canada. Of course, passports and covid requirements at the time of entry, must be met, but by now we are all used to that. We will still have the traditional Post Convention that will run July 23 - 26. The post will spend the day in Montreal and then head to Acadia National Park to continue the adventure. We have two Spring Regionals planned as well this year. The West Region is hosting a trip to St. George, Utah April 22 -24, 2022. The Midwest Region is hosting a trip to Chattanooga, TN May 27- 30, 2022. Separate articles on all these trips can be found in this edition of the Communique. Please consider attending one or all of these trips. The coordinators put a lot of time and energy in planning these and they are always a lot of fun. Ever thought of being a Convention Coordinator? A “how-to” manual has been written to provide guidance. Thanks to all the past coordinators who helped put this together. If anyone is interested in a copy, please let me know and I will gladly send you a copy. Annual elections will be held in July for the positions of President, Vice President and Treasurer. These are one year terms running from October 1 to September 30. The time commitment consists of three meetings a year in addition to the delegates meeting at the Annual Convention. If anyone is interested in learning more, please feel free to contact me. May God bless each of you with good health, peace and happiness.
