Next morning dock in the city of Messina, once one of Caravaggio’s Sicilian refuges. Make a scenic drive along the beautiful coastline to the lovely town of Taormina. Visit the Teatro Greco and the Park Giovanni Colonna to discover the story of the remarkable English noblewoman, Lady Florence Trevelyan. Have lunch at a winery on the slopes of Mount Etna and return to Messina for a talk by Simon Chaplin.
