HAPPY 35TH BIRTHDAY TO THE Akarua Arrowtown Autumn Festival Since 1985, the Arrowtown Autumn Festival has been a fun-filled, event-packed week that focuses on celebrating the best entertainment, talent, personality, beauty and fun that our wonderful community has to offer. On a chilly day in 1985, the first festival began with a Festival Fun Run followed by the first street parade. Feature events in 1985 were a fashion parade, a barbershop quartet competition, a jazz night and a Gold Light Disco for the kids. The festival has grown and we now have over 30 events including the return of the Festival Fun Run! Some classic events have remained such as the street parade, history walks and the ever-popular Ray White Art Exhibition at the Lakes District Museum. So grab a cuppa and have a good read through this programme – there is something for everyone and so much to do! From art workshops for the kids to the extraordinary evening that is La Nuit d’Extraordinaire. For full event information or registration details visit our website: www.arrowtownautumnfestival.co.nz For event updates and adverse weather options check our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/arrowtownfestival Tickets for events may be purchased through the Festival website, Eventfinda or the Lakes District Museum.
