FROM SHOPPING CENTRE TO CITY CENTRE The City of Lougheed will be a 37-acre city. Today, it’s a regional shopping centre in Metro Vancouver’s most central and connected location. Over the short and long term future it will become Canada’s largest master planned community. From shopping centre to city centre, the evolution has begun. This means new retailers, new updates and new energy. The City of Lougheed is dynamic. It’s exciting, vibrant and different everyday. This is the central heart where the community comes together. MOMENTUM IS BUILDING THE EATERIES Quick quality fare in a fresh new space. The vendor line-up brings 13 of Vancouver’s favourites to The City of Lougheed in Q4 2018. THE EAST MARKET From dim sum and bubble tea to stationery, cosmetics and home goods, the East Market will be a destination for authentic Asian culture. Oomomo, Bubble Waffle Cafe and Chongqing are among the retailers joining in 2019.
Updates are in progress within the shopping centre including renovations, new retailers and the new Eateries to replace the food court. Over the coming years, every new shop, restaurant and social area will add value to the project and the community around it. NEW RETAILERS Indigo Spirit, a brand new Starbucks and a Pizza Garden with a spill-out patio are among the new shops opening in 2019. PHASE ONE Set to open in 2022. the First Neighbourhood includes four residential towers. An urban grocer, street front shops and artisan cafes will make the neighbourhood complete.
THE REGION IS CHANGING Metro Vancouver is a global and growing city renowned as one of the world’s best places to live. While the downtown core was once the only centre of activity, the rising population, surging business environment and record-high housing prices have accelerated the growth of communities throughout the region.
