NZDA AUCKLAND BRANCH (EST.1951) MONTHLY MAGAZINE JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2020 COVER PHOTO Richard Berger starts the New Year in style. Photo credit: Jason. PRESIDENT’S REPORT Greetings and a happy New Year to all, I hope you are all making the most of the warm weather. If you’re up to date with our social media you will have seen that a lot of our members have been out hunting, fishing and diving - most recently the ladies party hunt took place at Clements Mill Road – we look forward to hearing details at the next club night. We have received a huge 50 membership applications over the break, I would like to welcome all our new members and their families. Drainage work has begun at the Range and should be complete in the next week or so. Efficient site drainage will ensure your range days are more enjoyable over the winter months. The scaffold and shrink wrap has started to be erected for the club room renovations – this is in preparation for the removal of the current asbestos roofing and eastern wall, including the front parapet wall and decramastic tiles on the front porch. Following this we will replace the four corner windows with opening windows (this will hopefully help with the heat during summer), the eastern wall will be fully reclad, new PVC gutters and downpipes will be installed and the roof will be replaced with longrun corrugate. The current works will not affect our next club night, which will be held at the club rooms at the same time. Over the coming weeks look forward Happy hunting to more updates. Looking forward to hearing hunting stories from far and Callum Sheridan, NZDA Auckland Branch President. wide at the next club night!
