    MAWNAN WI

    Mawnan WI members took
part in a quiz set by member
    Pippa to test their memory
    of TV programmes, past and
    present. There were a few
    old classics, but most were
    current programmes, regularly
    returning series or well-known
    one-off dramas. Pippa gave
the first letter of each word in
    the programme title and also
the number of letters in each
word. So TGL 3,4,4 would give
    you THE GOOD LIFE. Over
    a week, participants agonised
    over the answers with four
coming up with all 75 titles!
    Eighteen members submitted
    their scores. The winners were
    Steph, Pauline, Mary and
    Margaret. Taking advantage
    of the beautiful weather they
    gathered in The Square to
    receive their certificates.
