WELCOME WELCOME FROM CADEL To all our riders and teams, welcome to Geelong for 2020 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race which is now the sixth edition of the event. The race continues to evolve in a way we are delighted with and that is due in a large way to the collective efforts of you the teams that support the event and race so brilliantly each year, putting on such a memorable spectacle for our fans. The window for WorldTour cycling in Australia is obviously very small so the opportunity for fans here to see the best men’s and women’s teams in the world race in the one-day format is incredibly important for the continued growth of the sport in this part of the world. FROM THE MINISTER We are extremely excited about the elevation of the Deakin University Elite Women’s Race to the UCI Women’s WorldTour and we welcome all teams to Geelong, in particular those visiting and competing for the first time.
