Volunteer Referral Service Are you retired, unemployed, lonely or just want to contribute something to your community? Is your group finding it difficult to attract Volunteers? Do you need someone to assist the elderly on outings, help raise funds for a cause or provide administrative secretarial support for your not-for-profit organisation? If your answer is YES, then the Tamworth Volunteer Referral Service may be for you. The Tamworth Volunteer Referral Service provides an opportunity for individuals to register their interests and needs, and be matched to not-for-profit organisations in the community. Many local groups and organisations rely heavily on the contribution of volunteers to operate. Organisations are also encouraged to register their needs with the Referral Service so that interested volunteers can be referred. Training sessions for volunteers are also held regularly throughout the year. Council’s Volunteer Co-ordinator can be contacted at the Tamworth Community Centre, Darling Street Tamworth, between 10am and 4pm, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.
