Good Friday Passion of the Lord with veneration of the true relic of the cross of Christ at 3:00 p.m. Holy Saturday Easter Vigil 7:30 p.m. This will be greatly toned down and the RCIA rites of baptism and confirmation will be celebrated at Pentecost. We will have lectors and musicians to assist us for the services of Holy Week. Those in attendance are a few people needed to facilitate the liturgy: lectors, musicians, clergy. ith today’s celebration of Palm Sunday we begin the life saving and beautiful rites of Holy Week. Sadly, the COVID-19 virus is preventing Christians around the world from celebrating Holy Week as we normally would. It truly is the peak, the high point, the most beautiful time of the Christian year. However, with the wonders of modern social media we are able to celebrate Holy Week in our homes via recording and live-streaming. Our parish will be celebrating the liturgies and although not the grand celebrations we are used to we will make every effort to make them as beautiful as possible. The Schedule for Holy Week Services is as follows, all of which Easter Sunday will be live streamed and will be found on our parish website: Mass at 10:00 a.m. Please tune in to our parish website at these times to participate with us for Holy Week and Easter. Also, as parish life contin- ues bills and salaries for our employees still need to be paid. Please don’t forget to send in your regular offering to the par- ish. If you can, a little extra Easter gift will help us at this time as well. We are suspending our parish Increased Offering Pro- gram “Pray, Serve, Receive” until we are back to normal. Palm Sunday 10:00 a.m. Palms will be blessed and will placed in baskets on the front patio of the church. You may come by at any time Sunday after 11:00 a.m. or all day on Monday to pick up some blessed palm for your home. CONFESSIONS have even taken a new twist. Now, until fur- ther notice, confessions must be held in relatively open spaces, standing, priest and penitent six feet apart. Fr. Niru and Msgr. Dennis will hear confessions this coming Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the church. Fr. Niru will be in the altar area of the church and Msgr. Dennis will be in the Blessed Sacra- ment chapel. A screen will be placed to maintain privacy. NO FACE TO FACE CONFESSIONS, PLEASE! If you come to confession please remember to keep proper distancing between you and the next person. When will all of this end and we return to normal? Only God Holy Thursday knows. Really. Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:30 p.m.
