Coach’s Report Hello and welcome to Seddon Fields for today’s match against Hawke’s Bay United. This week we welcome Bill and his squad for our last home game of the Premiership. We’re down to the wire now so obviously, both teams must win their last two games for a chance at making the semi-finals. Our last home game was a big 4-0 win over Eastern Suburbs where we played very well and maybe on another day could have even scored a few more. The game that followed was one that on paper, we felt we could win but we fell short to Hamilton Wanderers in the end. A disappointing result as it felt like we had the game in the bag but we paid the price for some poor defending. We left that match feeling a big opportunity had gone untaken. Finally, thank you to Malcolm, Dan, Marko and Graham for all their hard work this season. No matter the result today and next week I think Waitakere can hold their heads up knowing they have given younger players a chance to play in the National league. Thanks, Hobbo.
