CAMP OVERVIEW PRESCHOOL ages 3 – 5 Recommended for campers who have yet to attend Kindergarten and need a slower pace with a little period as well as lower camper-to-staff ratios: 3 and 4 year olds are 1:10 and 5 year olds are 1:12. “Journey through Time” theme will inspire a variety of activities and children’s literature this summer. Our programs meet children's individual needs by offering cognitively, socially, and physically enriching curricula. Activities include building blocks and construction, dramatic play, reading, science and math, arts & crafts, creative expression, outdoor play, games and puzzles, and much more! THEME CAMP ages 5 – 12 For those campers looking for the traditional day camp experience, Theme Camp is the way to go. Changing theme-related crafts, organized games, and character development activities help make have all the ingredients for a summer full of memories! Campers will engage in various leadership opportunities through clubs, project-based learning, and LEGO challenges, along with Makerspace Zones such as coding, creating music with Makey Makey equipment, Light and Sound Lab, and participating in STEM challenges. SPORTS CAMP ages 8 – 13 If your budding superstar is looking to increase his or her skills and learn about the values of teamwork and sportsmanship, then Sports Camp is your next stop. Daily drills and weekly competitions ensure skill development, while crafts, team-building exercises, nutrition lessons, and swimming promote the development of the whole athlete. YMCA CAMP MOODY ages 8 – 13 Nature will be our playground this summer at Camp Moody. If your older camper is ready to spend days outside exploring and learning, then we have your match.
