ABBREVIATION GUIDE REGISTRATION GUIDELINES GENERAL INFORMATION Registration will be held weekdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Harris Center, starting May 3. Registration will be accepted in-person only. No phone FEE/PAYABLE registration. Enjoy live music, arts and crafts and food vendors, children’s art activities, special appearances and more. To accommodate State of Alabama and CDC COVID-19 guidelines, the 2021 Auburn CityFest will be different than previous years. Masks will be required by all visitors and vendors. Arts and crafts and food vendors will be spaced throughout the entire park to allow the public to socially distance while shopping. The 2021 CityFest theme is “The Loveliest Arts Festival on the Plains.” This year’s event will resemble a traditional arts and crafts festival and focus on the artists, performers and building community.This year’s headlining entertainment will be the Bama Air Dogs. They will deliver a spectacular and action-packed show featuring canine disc entertainment. Musical entertainment will consist of 8 Track Rewind, a classic rock band, The Plainsmen Percussion and the Auburn Community Orchestra. As the event draws closer, the Auburn CityFest may be modified to where the State of Alabama and CDC COVID-19 guidelines are at the time of the event. Auburn Parks and Recreation invites the community, growers and consumers alike, to join us at Town Creek Park every Saturday from May 29th until August 28th from 8-11 AM. The market will host local farmers, growers, and artists to sell their produce and products. Parking will be available for all market attendees in the gravel parking lot across from Town Creek Park. *COVID 19 note: All market visitors must maintain a minimum of 6 feet between one another. All vendors will follow the state sanitation guidelines regarding farmers markets: * Food samples will not be served, and cooking demonstrations will not be allowed. * Vendors will maintain a 10-foot distance from one another. * All vendors will wear food safe serving gloves and will designate one worker to handle payment. * Face masks are required. * All available products will be pre-packaged. ITTY BITTY AUBURN SPECIAL EVENTS SCAVENGER HUNT It’s time to break out the thinking caps and magnifying glasses for Itty Bitty Auburn in celebration of Alabama’s birthday! During this one-day open house we encourage the whole family to visit our fully-equipped studio, enjoy beverages and snacks as well as watch demonstrations by studio members. Visitors who want to have the experience of working in clay can pay $10 per person and select either an adult or kids project to create. All projects are led by Dean Road Ceramic Studio instructors and will be taught at 1, 2 and 3 pm. While we invite everyone to visit our studio, we have limited space available for those interested in creating with clay. LET’S GET ACTIVE, AUBURN! ACTIVE AUBURN We’re back for our 2021 season! Active Auburn is a health and wellness campaign presented by Auburn Parks and Recreation. The campaign is designed to encourage Auburn residents to get active in Auburn and connect them with their fellow residents and city parks and facilities. Throughout summer 2021, Active Auburn will host several recreation or fitness-centered events to highlight parks, recreation facilities or important areas of Auburn. These activities will range from field days and scavenger hunts in the parks to pool days and more!
