SHOW INFORMATION Event Secretary: Kathryn Williams Kathryn.w@live.com ONLINE ENTRIES: www.equestrianentries.co.nz ENTRIES OPEN: Monday 6th January 2020 CLOSE OF ENTRIES: Monday 27th January 2020 or when class is full PAYMENT: Payment must be made at time of entry via Poli Pay (internet banking) or credit card on Equestrian Entries at the time of finalising entry. Please direct any questions to the Show Secretary. Direct credit payments for non-finalised entries must be received by Wednesday 29th January 2020 or entries are LATE. Internet payment can be made to Bank Account 12-3233-0002502-00 (rider full name as reference) Office - Opens at 7.00am Class changes/entries maybe made online at anytime. Health and Safety Policy can be located in the Show Secretary’s Office. All competitors must familiarise themselves with the health and safety policy in this schedule and by entering the show, you accept our Health and Safety conditions. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. Entries will only be accepted with full payment of entry and all other fees. 2. All classes run under ESNZ rules current at the time of the show. 3. All riders compete at their own risk. 4. All riders, horses, and ponies must compete with the appropriate ESNZ membership. 5. Series classes as per Series conditions. 6. The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter the programme and prize money. Riders will be advised about any changes via email so please ensure your contact details are up to date. 7. Formal dress code in Series classes; otherwise at Judges discretion. 8. Entries may be limited in some classes and places will be offered on a first paid basis. Those not accepted into a class will be eligible for a full refund of entry fees for that class. REGISTRATION RIDERS & HORSES JUMPING Introductory Members or $15 Casual Membership Day Start may be used to compete in Introductory class (jumping) only (80cm and under for ponies and 90cm and under for Horses – named INTRO) if not registered as an ESNZ rider - (results will not be recorded with ESNZ). All other riders must be full members with ESNZ. This is an ESNZ Jumping show, $5 ESNZ Jumping Levy (Compulsory) per equine for show. All horses should be registered for Show Jumping with SJNZ. Equines not registered with SJ NZ may jump in Intro classes or Ponies to 1metre and Horses to 1.10m in Open classes with a $20 Casual Jumping Levy paid- Cannot compete in Series classes & won’t be eligible for HOY points in SH. TERMS & CONDITIONS YARDING: Initially all competitors requiring a covered yard or open yard will be booking an open yard only & requesting an upgrade to a covered yard. LATE ENTRIES: $20 late fee for equines not entered in the show and $2 per class change. Will start first in the class where class is drawn according to ESNZ rules. Horse accommodation not guaranteed after Monday 27th January 2020. CLASS CHANGES: All class changes must be made prior to 5PM the previous day. Class change $2. SCRATCHINGS: Refunds of 25% of entry fees for scratchings received before 31st January 2020. Other fees refunded in full unless stated as non-refundable. Scratchings after 31/01/2020 but before 07/02/2020 will be refunded less 50% of entry fees. Yarding fees are not refundable after the 22nd January 2020. Other fees refunded in full unless stated as non-refundable. No refunds for scratchings at the show without a vet or medical certificate and then at the discretion of the Organising Committee. Class changes and late entries allowed. On Line entry fee is non-refundable irrespective on when scratching. REFUNDS: Refunds will be paid electronically following the completion of the show, to the bank account nominated in your Equestrian Entries account. Refunds of less than $10 will not be paid. PRIZE MONEY: All advertised prize money will be paid electronically to the person who made the entry. *Class 7 - Digital Radiographs of a pair of joints to the value of $300. Within the South Auckland area preferably at Auckland Veterinary Centre (mileage not included). EVENTER’S CHALLENGE The Eventer’s Challenge is a “Derby” style competition with a section of 6 - 8 Show Jumps and 5 - 7 efforts over XC fences. Competitors will go straight from the show jumping into the XC phase, so a Body Protector must be worn for the entirety of the course. The maximum heights are 80cm and 95cm. The optimum time is based on the respective speeds of SJ and XC/per minute at each level. These classes will run as per SJ Table A Article 237. Faults at obstacles will be based on usual SJ and XC faults. The optimum time will not be disclosed, competitors should judge their speed accordingly. Class 35 NOTE: the rider must be a full member of ESNZ. OTHER Practice Ring - $5 per round. Not judged. Food and coffee available on the grounds. Abuse of stewards, officials, volunteers, trainers and fellow competitors will not be tolerated. Parents are responsible for children under the age of 18 at all times. Dogs are welcome at PPC but must be on a leash at all times, 24 hours per day. This applies to all parts of the property, including the XC course and hacking areas. Owners are required to pick up any droppings & dispose of them in the skip bins. Failure to comply will result in the dog having to be removed from the grounds. Quad Bikes/and or any Motorised Bikes - All riders must wear a helmet at all times. This is inclusive of pillion passengers. - No more than one pillion passenger is allowed per bike. - Speed is restricted to no more than 10kms per hour. - All drivers of ANY bike must hold the appropriate licenses/endorsements to operate the vehicle. Please note that only NZPCA and/or ESNZ approved and RED tagged helmets may be worn. As per the ESNZ GR’s Article 151.17. If required please bring helmet to the office for inspection before competing

No liability: Neither Papatoetoe Pony Club (PPC), Papatoetoe Adult Riding Club (PARC), any committee member of PPC or PARC, any organiser or sponsor of any event hosted by PPC or PARC, nor any service provider or volunteer at any event hosted by PPC or PARC (each a PPC Party) on the grounds at 2 Sutton Road, Brookby, Auckland, including the facilities made available at that address (the PPC Grounds), is liable: a. to any rider, owner, spectator or any person supporting, or otherwise attending the PPC Grounds with, any rider, owner or spectator (each a PPC Ground User) for any personal injury, accident, harm, incapacity or death, arising in connection with, or in any way related to, a PPC Ground User being present at or using the facilities on the PPC Grounds for any purpose, including any event, competition or open day (the PPC Ground Use); or b. for any injury, accident, harm, incapacity or death, or damage to or destruction of, any property of, or being used by, the PPC Ground User, including any animal or vehicle, (the PPC Ground User Property) arising in connection with, or in any way related to, a PPC Ground User using the PPC Grounds for the PPC Ground Use. 2. No claim or proceedings: The PPC Ground User must not make any claim or commence or pursue any proceedings against any PPC Party in respect of any fact, matter or circumstance arising out of, or in connection with, the PPC Ground User using the PPC Grounds for the PPC Ground Use, including in respect of any injury, accident, harm, incapacity or death of or to the PPC Ground User or any PPC Ground User Property (as the case may be), or damage to or destruction of, any PPC Ground User Property. 3. Release and discharge: The PPC Ground User releases and discharges the PPC Parties from all claims, demands and causes of action, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), under statute or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the PPC Ground User using the PPC Grounds for the PPC Ground Use, including in respect of any injury, accident, harm, incapacity or death of or to the PPC Ground User or any PPC Ground User Property (as the case may be), or damage to or destruction of, any PPC Ground User Property.
HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY Brookby Showjumping and Papatoetoe Pony Club is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy event for all staff, and to providing the information, training and supervision needed to achieve this. We will take all practicable steps by; • Providing a safe event, safe equipment and proper materials • Identifying and monitoring hazards and using the hazard management hierarchy of eliminate, isolate or minimise. • Insist upon establishment of safe methods and best practices • Comply with all H&S legislation, regulations and codes of practice We will take responsibility for health and safety procedures, however, ALL PEOPLE ON THIS SITE need to be aware of their responsibilities and comply with the event’s health and safety policy. COMPETITORS will be responsible for themselves at ALL times by observing safe practices and rules/instructions relating to their competition. Every person involved in Brookby Showjumping is encouraged to play a vital and responsible role in maintaining a safe and healthy event through: • Being involved in the event health and safety system. • Following correct procedures. • Safe and proper use of equipment. • Wearing protective clothing and equipment as and when required. • Reporting any pain or discomfort as soon as possible. • Ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported. • Help new employees, trainees and visitors to understand the right safety procedures and why they exist. • Informing the office immediately of any health and safety concerns. • Keeping the event facilities tidy to minimise the risk of any trips and falls.
