TEMPLE TERRACE PLAYBOOK SUMMER / FALL 2019 From the Mayor: Greetings from Temple Terrace City Hall! If Spring is a season of rebirth, then Spring defnitely has sprung in Temple Terrace. With a new boardwalk in place at Riverhills Park, renovations to the Family Recreation Complex nearly complete, construction due to begin any day in the City’s Redevelopment area, and many other improvements on the horizon, it certainly feels like a new day is dawning in the Terrace. And while we revel in these exciting developments, the City also takes pride in our time-honored traditions, like the annual 4th of July parade and freworks display, as well as more recently entrenched community favorites which include the Craf BrewFest, Art en Blanc and the Children’s Tea with Mom. As we go to press, we are wrapping up our frst year of the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council and I am so proud to report that this inaugural class accomplished great things, including the establishment of a library at the new Sam & Laurice Hachem Foundation Boys & Girls Club in Temple Terrace. As we wish our graduating seniors well and welcome new members of the Council, I am excited to see what else is in store for this impressive and motivated group of young people. Tis publication is full of the events, programs and amenities that make Temple Terrace such an amazing plact to work and play. I invite you to take advantage of all that this City has to ofer, as well as to look for ways to exact postive change in our community. -Mayo Mel Juado Temple Terrace PlayBook Summer / Fall 2019 Mayor Mel Jurado What’s inside City Council Memberships ................................................................ 4 Frank Chillura, Vice Mayor Facility Guide ............................................................... 6 James Chambers, Council Member Map ................................................................................ 7 Cheri Donohue, Council Member Family Recreation Complex news ............................. 8 Andrew Ross, Council Member Gil Schisler, Council Member Youth Programs ........................................................... 9 Senior Programs ........................................................ 10 City Administration: 813.506.6400 Tennis Programs ........................................................ 11 Charles W.
