DIRECTOR’S NOTE I am so happy and blessed to be in a situation where my daily life is filled with the combination of theatrical artistry and the inner growth of children. It seems fitting that the Tony Awards are always on television the day before camp starts. I see these Broadway stars and how I, like many other artists, look up to their talent, popularity and stature. Then a second thought crosses my mind: Why look “up” to these stage stars when I could look straight ahead and see the stars of tomorrow? Each and every one of these campers are “stars”. To me and to their teachers they have just as much talent, potential and heart... and they certainly shine just as brightly. It is our privilege to watch them grow and then see them come alive on stage. It is The Performance Project’s wish that the arts will continue to thrive as an integral part of a child’s endeavors. Additionally, it is our philosophy that amidst a methodical world, a child’s heart always be enlightened by wonderment and enhanced by creativity. SPECIAL THANKS go to… ■ All of our volunteer interns for their extra special attention to our campers and devoted efforts to our productions. ■ The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center, and The Aventura Arts and Cultural Center’s staff for their constant help and expertise.. ■ Jill Kratish for making this all possible. ■ The campers’ parents/guardians for letting us “borrow” your talented children. ■ My staff for their unending dedication and hard work. The education, direction, choreography, technical direction, and musical direction is the collective effort of all the teachers and staff from each venue. I commend them for such incredible teamwork. THANK YOU! ■ The campers for filling our lives with excitement and joy through the arts. Thank you and enjoy the show. Nina Felice Executive Director The Performance Project School of the Arts
