DAY TRIPS
LEGENDS OF LAMBEAU
Become a part of the greatest story in sports! Join us for an exclusive, behind the scenes tour of
Lambeau Field as we dig deep into the rich history of the Green Bay Packers. View the stadium
and the surrounding area from the highest point in Brown County, walk out the same tunnel that
the Green Bay Packers use on gameday! Enjoy a Lambeau Tradition lunch buffet that includes
brats, hamburgers, chips, potato salad and cookies (vegetarian /vegan options upon request).
After lunch, explore the 15,000 square foot museum at your own pace, seeing firsthand the rich,
103 year history of the Green Bay Packers. Complete your experience with a guided tour that
takes you on a journey around the city revealing the Packers’ deep ties throughout the Green
Bay community, stopping at churches, birth spots and homes of Packer legends among many
other iconic landmarks. Fee includes tours, lunch and motorcoach. Bus loads at 7:15am on
Pflaum Rd in front of LaFollette High School. Youth ages 8+ may register with a participating
adult. Registration deadline is March 31, 2023.
BURGERS & CUSTARD CAPITAL OF THE WORLD
Join us as we team up with Milwaukee Food Tours for the Burgers & Custard Capital of the World Food and History Tour. Start the day at the Milwaukee County
Historical Society in the historic Brewers Bank building and learn about its role in popular television shows and films. Explore the exhibits, gift shop and even
purchase a beer to enjoy, too (The legends - Pabst, Blatz, Schlitz or a Miller). Take a short stroll and give two thumbs up with a visit and photo opportunity with
Fonzie along the Milwaukee RiverWalk. Enjoy a hamburger and fries lunch at a classic Milwaukee diner, Miss Katie’s. Delve into a custard crawl with stops at two
historic custard stands, Leon’s Frozen Custard and, the oldest in Wisconsin, Gilles Frozen Custard Stand. Fee covers narrated, guided city tour, lunch, custard and
motorcoach transportation. Tour includes minimal walking; must be able to enter / exit the bus multiple times during the day. Bus loads at 8:15am on Pflaum Rd
in front of LaFollette High School. Registration deadline is April 26, 2023.

Open to individuals with disabilities ages 18+ and their caregivers,
families, friends. Participants 14+ may register if accompanied by a
participating caregiver and/or adult. Caregivers/adults must stay with the
14+ participants at all times during program. All participants in Adapted
programs including caregivers need to register individually. Fees for
caregivers/adults are waived.

CHAIR EXERCISE
Increase your range of motion through stretching and strength exercises.
Participate either sitting or standing, exercises are adapted as needed.
Skip 7/5.
CITY CLUB
Meet new friends while enjoying arts & crafts, fitness, field trips and other fun
and engaging activities. Skip 7/4 & 7/6.
DANCE AND MOVE
Low impact class using music and basic steps for great cardiovascular and
muscle toning workout. All fitness levels welcome. Staff supervision starts
and ends at the time of program. Skip 7/3 & 7/4.

PADDLING                                                                            Class designed for individuals with cognitive and/or physical disabilities.

  Indoor Classes
                                                                                   These classes are Child + Adult. Only registered child and one participating
                                                                                   adult may attend these classes. For everyone’s safety and the quality of
                                                                                   classes, siblings, including infants and/or friends are not allowed to attend
                                                                                   classes, be in the classroom or left unattended in a building at any time.

                                                                                   ART EXPLORATION - CHILD + ADULT
                                                                                   In this art class for little ones, children have fun with some new art techniques
                                                                                   and some old ones - such as painting, pasting and construction. Each
                                                                                   participant is encouraged to engage at his or her own level - from playing with
                                                                                   new materials to creating an art treasure to take home.
                                                                                   NEBULA IN A JAR - CHILD + ADULT
                                                                                   Have you ever dreamed of holding a piece of outer space in your hands? In this
                                                                                   class, participants create a nebula in a jar so they can do just that! What’s a
                                                                                   nebula? A nebula is a cloud of gas and dust in outer space, visible in the night
                                                                                   sky either as an indistinct bright patch or as a dark silhouette against other
                                                                                   luminous matter. This is a great sensory jar craft that’s not only fun to make,
                                                                                   but fun to look at! All materials provided.
                                                                                   PROCESS ART - CHILD + ADULT
                                                                                   Process Art is about the practice of making art, not the final product.
                                                                                   Participants have the freedom to explore new materials, ask questions and see

Join us for this joyful class that inspires curiosity about music. Participants
learn to tune their instrument, play multiple ukulele chords, clap rhythms with

                                                                  MSCR Outdoor Soccer Leagues are focused on recreational play (score is not recorded).
                                                                  Leagues use smaller fields to promote fast paced games and more player action. The 3v3
                                                                  league is for younger players where there are three players from each team on the field
                                                                  with no goalies. The 6v6 league is for older players where there are six players from each
                                                                  team including the goalies. MSCR schedules games and provides referees for the games.
                                                                  Practices are determined by the volunteer coach or parents/guardians.

T-BALL & COACH PITCH
The first two evenings are team practices, followed by an instructional six game season.
Practices/Games are approximately 1 hour, scheduled within the time frame listed. Practice
and game schedules are emailed approximately 1 week prior to the start date. Players register
individually and are placed on a team. Fee includes a t-shirt, please include the youth t-shirt

                                   Developed by the National Alliance for Youth Sports, this program is designed to prepare

Explore yoga together in a playful setting with storybooks, yoga games,

LEARN 2 RIDE
Sponsored by Pacific Cycle. Is your child ready to lose the training wheels? Are you tired of running up and down the
sidewalk? Learn easy, hands-on techniques to get your child riding solo on two wheels! This innovative approach
includes balancing, gliding and pedaling. Participants receive instruction and practice time.
Children must be accompanied by an active companion 16+ years old. You must bring a bike that allows your sitting
participant to put both feet completely flat on the ground. Participants must bring a helmet. If you are unable to
bring a helmet, please reach out for accommodations. Class sizes are limited to no more than 10 participants each
to allow for reduced distractions, course congestion and more guidance from our Learn 2 Ride staff if needed. If
your participant has a disability and may need further accommodations please feel free to reach out to us and we
work with you to provide reasonable accommodations. If after attending 1 class your youth participant needs more
practice, reach out to see if there are extra available spots.

YOUTH TENNIS
Please register early! MUST be registered to participate. Balls furnished, bring own racquet if possible.
YOUTH PRE-BEGINNER
Youngsters with little or no experience. Eye-hand control, ball control and basic racquet skills are
taught, as well as game development, rules and etiquette. Participants play fun games and increase
self-confidence as tennis techniques develop.
YOUTH BEGINNER
For new players. Lessons teach basic footwork, grip, forehand and backhand strokes. Good
sportsmanship, rules and etiquette also included.
YOUTH INTERMEDIATE
For players who have completed the beginner class or have previous exposure. Emphasis is placed on
further development of strokes, service from the baseline, strategy and games.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BEGINNER
For new players or players briefly exposed to the game through instruction at school. Class covers the
same skills as our other beginner level, but moves at a faster pace for the older student.
MIDDLE SCHOOL INTERMEDIATE
For players who have a basic foundation of the game. Emphasis is on skill refinement and strategy
through drills and match play. Players practice volleying techniques, review game strategy and play at
the net.

WHAT TO BRING
Participants should arrive swim-ready for their lesson and bring their own suit
and towel. Patrons are allowed to bring bags and towels to the spectator area.
MSCR and the City of Madison are not responsible for any lost or damaged
items.

BEFORE YOU SWIM
Showers must be taken before swimming and long hair must be restrained.
Lockers are available. Men’s, women’s and all-gender restrooms are available
for changing after lessons. MSCR affirms the right of individuals to use
facilities that align with their gender identity.
