STUDENT INDUSTRY TOUR A unique opportunity for second year students to get an overview of the UK furnishings industry The Furniture Makers’ Company is the City of London livery company and furnishing industry’s charity, which fosters and supports the industry by nurturing skills and expertise, supporting those in need and inspiring excellence. About the tour The four day Student Industry Tour takes college and university students around a number of furniture businesses to give them a broad insight into how the industry operates. Students will get a unique opportunity to see inside factories, design offices and retailers of some of the UK’s leading furnishing businesses, and get an understanding of sales, marketing, manufacturing and design. They will also have the chance to meet and socialise with other students who share the same passion for design and making furniture. Fun nights out in the city help everyone to bond and make the tour a truly unforgettable experience. The Student Industry Tour is generously sponsored by Festool.
