STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES & GOALS USER EXPERIENCE ENHANCE AND SUSTAIN A WELCOMING, EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR ALL VISITORS AND STAFF. Explore extending open hours to increase the Library’s accessibility. Create a welcome desk located in the lobby to greet and help patrons as they enter the building. Create an engaging culture that promotes staff buy-in of the Library’s vision for exceptional customer service. Continually evaluate use of spaces to accommodate emerging community needs. STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES & GOALS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT CREATE WAYS TO ENGAGE NAMPA RESIDENTS OUTSIDE OF THE LIBRARY TO LEARN WHAT MORE THE LIBRARY CAN DO TO FACILITATE COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS AND AWARENESS OF LIBRARY RESOURCES. Develop and expand partnerships to enhance community connections. Evaluate outreach opportunities to engage the public outside of the Library and strengthen community relationships. STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES & GOALS RESOURCES IDENTIFY AND CULTIVATE VIBRANT DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL COLLECTIONS TO SATISFY OUR GROWING COMMUNITY’S DIVERSE INTERESTS AND NEEDS. Develop a highly dynamic collection of eResources to remain current with our community’s interests and maintain locally sourced digital collections to preserve Nampa’s history Develop a diverse collection of physical materials to enhance the community’s entertainment and educational opportunities. STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES & GOALS TECHNOLOGY SEEK OUT AND PROVIDE CURRENT AND FUTURE TECHNOLOGY TO INSPIRE AND EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY AND BUILD DIGITAL LITERACY SKILLS. Research funding sources to investigate and increase the Library’s technological footprint and provide exposure to upcoming technology. Increase technological programming to cultivate curiosity and encourage exploration. Provide accessible technology for patron use and implement a growing collection of circulating technology.
