Frequently Asked Questions Do you create sites on platforms other than Squarespace? Not at this time. Why Squarespace? I'm a big believer that the tools you use should work for you, not the other way round. Squarespace is an all inclusive platform that keeps things simple, functional and beautiful. It takes the tech and the overwhelm out of managing your website and frees up your time to focus on what you do best. To learn more about why I choose to work with Squarespace, visit this blog post. Is there anything Squarespace can’t do? Unfortunately yes. At present Squarespace doesn’t provide a membership site option. You can work around this using a third-party tool called Memberspace. Squarespace also doesn’t provide inventory management software or point of sales systems. Isn’t Squarespace bad for SEO? This is more myth than fact. Squarespace is designed to make SEO simple. Squarespace has worked to ensure their platform ranks well in search. While it does not have the SEO capabilities of Wordpress, you can still optimise your website to rank highly in search. Learn more about optimising your website here. Do you provide SEO for my Squarespace website? Your website will include basic SEO. However, keep in mind that you will be providing the content for your website therefore SEO is not included for this. Your website content planner is designed to help you with SEO. For additional support, check out my Squarespace SEO Guide 2020.
Frequently Asked Questions How does the payment process work? After your intake form is complete and we've arranged our initial strategy call, you will be sent an initial deposit invoice. This is 50% of the final cost. This must be paid in advance. The other 50% will be invoiced on completion of your website before hand off. Is my deposit refundable? No. All deposits are nonrefundable. Your deposit secures your dedicated design slot in my calendar. This is time dedicated to you. If you choose to back out of the project, that leaves an empty slot that could have been filled with another project. Why is Squarespace website design so expensive? A lot of hours and experience goes into creating your website design. This is an intensive week dedicated only to you. The pricing I have set reflects my ability to provide a speedy design process without compromising on the skill and high quality you deserve. How are you able to design my site in just 5 days? This one is simple. I have streamlined systems, processes and deadlines to ensure we can achieve this quick turn around. By having a designated design week, every working hour is dedicated to your website design project. Being able to dive deep into your project means I can optimise my performance and quality output during this time. Why did you decide on a 5-day design process? I understand you’re super busy and primary focus is getting things done. Moving forward! I’m all about that too. Having a speedy design process ensures you achieve your goals in a timely manner and check one more thing off your to-do list. Speed creates momentum too so my hope is being able to launch with a bang will give you a big burst of energy you can put into the rest of your marketing strategy.

No. You will be required to purchase your own Squarespace hosting plan once you are ready to launch your website. The Fine Print Terms & Conditions Before you begin a project enquiry, let’s look at the terms and conditions of your website design project. I know it’s tempting to skip over the fine print but it’s important to be clear and set these expectations up front so both parties are on the same page. I’ve tried to keep it to concise bullet points… every little helps?

This includes reviewing our work and providing feedback and approval in a timely manner.

Amendments • Client will be provided with one (1) round of amendment to our work at no extra charge, as long as the changes requested do not substantially alter the original project scope, nature or purpose; and as long as you have not already given us your final approval for the piece of work concerned. • If for some reason, you are unsatisfied after your amendment rounds, we will continue the refinement process at our currently hourly rate of £120/hour. Refunds • Due to the nature of website development and the time input required, Chloe Forbes-Kindlen operates a strict no-refunds policy. • Client will receive one (1) refinement rounds and the opportunity to sign off their final website design before the remaining invoice is sent to ensure they are satisfied with the finished design.
