After discovering the baby, Santa and his elves decide to raise the child as an elf. Years later, Buddy finds out that he’s actually a human being and, at Santa’s prompting, heads off to New York City in search of his father. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and his son doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his birth family and help New York City remember the true meaning of Christmas. JANUARY 18 AT 12PM Literary Luncheon with Author DEBORAH GOODRICH-ROYCE Madison Theatre and On the Road Book Events is pleased to host author Deborah Goodrich-Royce who will be discussing Reef Road, her latest psychological thriller that publishes in January and explores the psychology of criminals and their victims, while drawing from real-life events that happened before she was born. Ticket includes luncheon with dessert and beverage, and an autographed copy of Reef Road. This event will be held in the Larini Room at Molloy University. JANUARY 20, 2023 AT 8PM An Evening with Known for the telepathic communication among its personnel, deep book of original music replete with expressive melodies and provocative forms, and an unrivaled spirit, the Branford Marsalis Quartet has long been recognized as the standard to which other ensembles of its kind must be measured. FEBRUARY 9 AT 7PM JESSAMINE CHAN On the Road Books & Madison Theatre at Molloy Present Jessamine Chan. Jessamine Chan, author of The School of Good Mothers, will be in conversation with author Carol Hoenig in celebration of the paperback release of this searing and surreal novel. Ticket includes an autographed copy of The School for Good Mothers. This event will be held in the Larini Room at Molloy University. FEBRUARY 11 AT 7PM The South Shore Symphony 40th Anniversary Concert With conductor Scott Jackson Wiley, featuring Nights in the Garden of Spain (De Falla), La Boutique (Respighi), Firebird Suite (Stravinsky), the South Shore Symphony concert will definitely be a memorable occasion. FEBRUARY 15 AT 7PM Mary Calvi If A Poem Could Live and Breathe If a Poem Could Live and Breathe is an indelible portrait of the authenticity of first love, the heartache of loss, and how overcoming the worst of life’s obstacles can push one to greatness never imagined. Mary Calvi is a 12-time New York Emmy award-winning journalist and national anchor for WCBS-TV and weekend anchor of Inside Edition. Her in-depth research for her debut book, DEAR GEORGE, DEAR MARY: A Novel of George Washington’s First Love, is the basis of a Smithsonian Channel documentary. Each ticket includes a signed copy of Mary’s newest book If a Poem Could Live and Breathe: A Novel of Teddy Roosevelt’s First Love. This event will be held in the Larini Room at Molloy University. MARCH 11 AT 2PM & 8PM & MARCH 12 AT 3PM H e e l s v e r O Come join the Molloy University CAP21 students for their version on Head Over Heels, The Musical! The jukebox musical Hea d tells the tale of a royal family on the path to saving their kingdom from certain extinction, until they come across a major truth that is the key to saving the kingdom. It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in Lower Manhattan’s East Village in the thriving days of bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.
