Foreword Welcome to our ‘Spring’ Season at The Quay! We hope you have been enjoying the diverse range of content we have had to offer over the last few years, and we trust that you will find a similar range in the January to April season. As a registered charity with a skeletal staff (if not in weight, certainly in numbers…!) we are constantly having to up our game in covering increasing costs and a depletion of revenue grants, in order to continue being the only professional public theatre in this district. For this we need help, not only from our Volunteers but also from our satisfied customers whose word of mouth is so important in getting the news out about this little Sudbury gem. So, do tell your friends about us, or take an extra copy of our programme and pass it to a neighbour, work colleague or family member. It can open up a whole new world on their doorstep! You may have noticed that improvements are being made to the building through successful grant applications. Phase I is ongoing at time of press, which will see repairs and repainting to the white cladded exterior of the building. Phase II will involve the main entrance, the toilet block and the roof. More on this later, when we begin further fundraising drives to lead us up to our 40th year in 2021. Until then – make use of and enjoy Sudbury’s Arts Venue – we hope to see you soon!
