MultiChoice Diski Challenge The MultiChoice Diski Challenge develops our youth through a reserve league for the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and life skills and leadership training. Interns develop broadcasting skills by producing live coverage of the Diski matches on DStv and community stations. ,, I’ve become the first in my village to make a success of becoming a ,, soccer player. I feel that I’m on the verge of playing in the professional league. Scoring against Orlando Pirates was my biggest highlight of the Diski Challenge, and my career! Skills development The MultiChoice Graduate, DDM Graduate, Nkoka Learnership and iButterfly programmes offer students and employees the chance to kick-start their career with the most innovative video and internet company on the continent. ,, I joined the graduate programme in January 2014. After being upskilled, I was then given more responsibility and started to contribute towards the team on ,, crucial business questions and challenges. The highlights have been the recognition I’ve received for my work, and the exposure to top level employees. Being chosen as Grad of the Year was both humbling and immensely satisfying. SuperSport United Academy SuperSport United Academy educates young players and develops local football talent. ,, I’ve loved football from my primary school days; from very young. I used to play in tournaments and became motivated to play ,, for big teams. Then I started to go to trials. In 2011, while I was at the Academy, I went to trials for SuperSport United team at TUT – and was selected. I want to play overseas someday. The SportsTrust The Trust builds sports facilities, distributes equipment, and has sports development projects in soccer, rugby and cricket. ,, I did my first presenting show through TVPC Media on SuperSport, covering schoolboy and varsity rugby. The work I’ve done with these various production ,, companies for DStv has had a positive impact on my career and with everything I’ve done – it’s gotten bigger and better.
