COMPETING WITH THE COVID-19 PROTOCOL: (updated 8.28.2020) *subject to change WOMEN’S SOCCER: The primary goal of the Crossroads League is to provide a safe and healthy atmosphere to compete in as many competitions as possible this fall. It is the goal of the Crossroads League to fully complete the schedule as set. Covid-19 may present unique challenges that potentially affect the schedule. Knowing there are unprecedented challenges, we are committed to adjusting to future opportunities that meet our primary goals for our athletes. IN THE EVENT THE SEASON CANNOT BE COMPLETED DUE TO COVID 19 in the FALL: If all 10 teams play at least nine games before November 4th, the Crossroads League Soccer Tournament will begin on November 7th, with the Championship being played on November 14th. The highest to lowest winning percentage will be used to set the seeding. If there is a tie between two teams, the following tiebreakers will be used: 4. first, compare head to head competition between the teams who are tied, if no conclusion, 5. second, compare the two teams results against common opponents, highest to lowest, to determine higher seed, and if still no conclusion, 6. third, a coin flip with the two chairs, two head coaches and the commissioner. If three or more teams are tied, the aggregate record between the tied teams can settle the tie immediately, however if two teams are still tied, then follow above tiebreakers for two teams. If all 10 teams cannot complete a minimum of 9 games, the regular season will continue through November 14th, and the Crossroads League Championship will be moved to the spring. Dates are TBD, but likely between April 9th – 17th. If the full regular season is completed in the fall, then we will proceed with the tournament and seeding protocol established by our coaches and currently in the manual for fall of 2020. 84 Crossroads League Procedures Manual 2020/2021
