SMART FACTORY MESSENGER the CompanyMessenger in the Industry 4.0 The interfacing of human and machine with the CompanyMessenger Plattform!
SMART-FACTORY MESSENGER INTRODUCTION You surely know of the andon-signal lamp in the production. When the lamp shines “red” the machine is in the fault mode and needs help from the worker, foreman, maintenance, NC-programmer ect. In the future, the fault signal will be sent to a chatgroup with SmartFactory Messenger so there is a quick reaction. In principal, all signals of a OPC-UA interface can be sent with a push message to those persons involved. The employees are in the companies closed community that conforms to the neu EU- data protection guidelines that regulates the data of the employee and the communication. Further automation scenarios are illustrated per messaging. Even external users, like the equipment manufacture, can be added to the production community of the SmartFactory Messenger. The illustrated process in the brochure is implemented like this in a factory. We are looking forward to hearing from you or getting your feedback! Your APPbyYOU-Team CONFIGURATION The configuration of the user is undertaken in the AppEditor to the CompanyMessenger. It is differentiated between template and role. A template defines the range of features of which elements a user (employee) has access to. Most of the time they are widgets, functional building blocks. Example: Widget fault tripped, therefore the widget pertains to “worker” EXAMPLE CONFIGURATION TEMPLATE TEMPLATE TEMPLATE FACTORY ITEMS FACTORY SPECIALIST FACTORY ITEMS Widgets: Widgets: Widgets: • Signal • Interrupt • Interrupt • Interrupt • Chat • Statistic • Chat • Community • Chat • Community • Cloud • Community • Cloud • More • Cloud • More • More Role Role Role Role Role Werker Maschine Foreman Disponent Manager Role Inspector QA Role Role Maintainer NC-Programer Illustration 1: Configuration Example 2
PROCESS EXAMPLE The machine reports a fault (interrupt) and activates the fault signal, like it used to do in the machine park when an andon signal lamp was physically activated. With the Smart-Factory- Messenger the signal is activated and sent in real time automatically or manually. A fault ticket can be manually recorded by a worker. By an automation, the machine-hub would be realizeable with the OPC-UA interface, unless it is noted that it is more than a fault in this area and other status information of the machine is listed. The usual stamping of work processes can proceed in real time. Even external users, like an external tool specialist, can be informed via messaging. The foreman, for example, receives the push-notification with his smartphone, while the NC-programer receives the message in his browser while sitting on his desk. Before the foreman or another specialist physically goes to the machine, he can limit the problem with the operator on site via chat dialogue. In most cases, one tip is enough to solve the problem. The response time, as well as the processing time are statistically recorded and made available to the manager. It is conceivable that certain threshold values of a reaction time will trigger an attached push notification in another chat group. Depending on the urgency, different signal buttons can be triggered. The app can also be installed on the smartphone of the worker so that the messages can be triggered from there. The worker is in the chat group connected with his machines (IoTs) and receives the fault message directly. Depending on the situation, he can decide if he wants to call in the specialist. The machine designation as well as further information such as: • Abort criterion by part number XY of the NC program • Designation of the tool (for example mill machine) by wear notification. The receiver has the possibility by using the open button to get further detailed information about the machine.. 4

The stamp and is labelled red. By acceptance of the interrupt is sent to a chatgroup so the notification with action the color appears yellow, and workers of the shift change can be the completion is labelled green. guaranteed to be informed. By a selection in the check box, the user will be displayed only the pending messages. Using a filter, only the interrupts of a specific machine can be displayed. 5
SMART-FACTORY-MESSENGER IN PRACTICE WIDGET INTERRUPT LIST - STATISTICS Illustration 7: Illustration 9: Interrupt List Statistics Detail View Illustration 8: Statistics Overview Depending on the authorization level, the statistics of each fault can be displayed. This can be done for each interrupt, but also an overall view. These can be designated and delivered by machine or department. The statistic offers information of the total processing time of the fault, but also the reaction time that was needed after the report of the fault. 6
CHAT & COMMUNITY THE CHATDIALOG The fault is displayed in the chat dialog of the group responsible. The group members are the receivers as well as the foreman, NC programmer, tool maker, ect. And the workers at the machines. The machines are themselves members of the chat group. In the chat dialog the problem can be narrowed down and in most cases, the worker can solve the problem themselves. Even remote updates can be used to execute the load and start of the new NC-program. The NC-programmer chats with on his PC display and does not require a mobile device. The chat can be done without a tele- phone number because the user is recognized by the 40-digit key code. Illustration 10: Chatdialog Chatgruppe Maschine und Meister Illustration 11: THE COMMUNITY Chatlist The community is centrally managed by the admistrator and is a „closed“ community. Therefore it is a company messenger with employees and external users that have been previously registered and authenticated. The authentification process is set by the company. The user has access to certain templates and worker functions. Depending on the authorization level they have access to certain widgets and folders in the cloud. A LDAP interface makes it possible to import the corresponding authorizations out of the active directory. Interresting to not with the UseCase SmartFactory Messenger, that each machine as IoT is a member of the community. For humans, profile are created and identified, profile picture, ect. Even bots can give professional advice that has been automated to the community. In the future, self learning bots (KI-bots) can store tips to future questions about faults in neural nets from technical experts or other specialists. The widget structures are created on the Messaging-Platform and form the logic. 7
