Vibrant colour; pure cassis fruit leads the way on the bouquet and medium-bodied palate, but when you look behind the stats and find harvest baumes from 13.2 to 14.1 and cap management in the fermenters you realise the nature and extent of Paul Hotker’s magical touch. MONAProduct Consultant Some years ago, I attended my first structured tasting, and in true Burgundian style we tasted the reds first and followed with the whites. I haven’t forgotten it. I remember where I was the first time I encountered Port and wondered, “Where have you been all my life?” I also recall the very first time I tasted Krug and suddenly understood what Champagne was all about. These liquid revelations continued until I became one of the fortunate ones who are able to turn a hobby into a career. Since that time, some of my very favourite duties have been sharing my beverage alcohol experiences with whoever wishes to listen, and assisting customers with their purchases. It truly is a wonderful life!”

MELANIE Product Consultant I really became interested in wine after I’d been at the LCBO a few years. My background is Italian and I shared my dad’s and grandmother’s love for food and wine, and had often wondered about the winemaking process, the differences in styles and food pairings. Wine became a passion – always taking me back to those big Sunday family dinners – and I wanted to share that passion with customers. I love being able to find that perfect wine for a customer’s occasion, or recommend that perfect gift. I love a variety of different wine regions and their styles, especially Italy, Spain, the Rhône and even Bordeaux for a nice treat. They all offer great value and great quality!”
GEOGRAFICO FERRANTE GOVERNO ALL’USO 2016 IGT Toscana, Tuscany, Italy “ ‘Governo all’Uso’ is a new term for an ancient winemaking technique that uses partially dried grapes.
