Exhibitor promotion • The Sibos exhibition showcases the best of the financial services industry and we want to maximise the profile of our exhibitors to highlight their contribution to the Sibos experience • This document outlines how you can use Sibos branded creative assets to showcase your role as an exhibitor • It also gives an overview of the activity our communications team is undertaking to promote the event 2
Sibos social media tiles • We are providing a Sibos branded creative asset for you to use on Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram to promote your presence at Sibos. Sibos communications activity • News stories: We are producing news stories to promote Sibos, the exhibition experience and new initiatives taking place at this year’s event. News stories will feature on the Sibos website here: https://www.sibos.com/news/news • Social media: We are promoting all news stories on our main social media channels and would like to ask that you share some of our posts relating to the Sibos experience, as well as promoting your involvement in Sibos through your own social media activity • Sibos Insider: Our regular newsletter features news stories on the exhibition, the conference, networking events, CSR, Sibos Tools, new initiatives (e.g. Talent Thursday, Views from the Top, STAR scholarship) and more. If you are not already signed up to receive Insider you can register at https://www.sibos.com/news/sibos-insider • Sibos Issues: Our magazine, Sibos Issues, will preview this year’s event and cover highlights from across the exhibition, alongside conference news and other Sibos activities such as networking events 5
Sibos brand guidelines • Sibos is written in lowercase with a capital S; never in all capitals • To refer to a specific Sibos edition, use: Sibos YYYY City, as in Sibos 2019 London • To refer to the website, use: Sibos.com or www.sibos.com • The hashtag to use is #Sibos, not for example #Sibos2019London or any similar variation 6
Example social media content you could run During: Before: • Share ‘behind-the-scenes’ pictures and videos • Engaging pictures from previous exhibition stands / activities at Sibos • Quotation templates featuring key quotes • Share previous / new Sibos articles, commentary and white papers your organisation has published • Articles on your thought leadership and Sibos experience • Visual testimonial / quotes from senior business leaders After: • Striking pictures of London and the ExCeL London venue • Create album of photos of your exhibition stand, activities • Record podcasts and/or video interviews and events • Build anticipation with teasers and countdowns to Sibos • Poll your social media followings, for example via Twitter • Leverage social media debates, hot topics and, where possible, surveys industry influencers • Podcasts, interviews and wrap-up event articles • Encourage colleagues and contacts to share your posts 7
Appendix – Social media tips The following tips can help to maximise your social media promotion, networking and the broader Sibos experience: • Create or update your professional profile: Create or update your professional profile on LinkedIn and Twitter. Describe your position and interests and include a professional headshot • Share news/articles: Share news/articles that are published on Sibos.com using the social media sharing icons • Join the debate: Share your own point of view by adding unique headlines or additional commentary for any content you post. You can add photos from the exhibition as well • Add new connections: Connect with the people you meet at Sibos on LinkedIn. Clicking smart badges with someone at the event will automatically send their contact details to your email address – make sure you add them on LinkedIn too • Leverage hashtags and handles: Hashtags can be branded (e.g. your company name), topic- focused (e.g. #cybersecurity) or event-focused (e.g. #Sibos). Consider including the handles of spokespeople, partners, publications and journalists. 8
