"Stepping into Built in 1581, Shaw House is a stunning Grade I listed country house on
the outskirts of Newbury.

time the house will be available to hire on an exclusive basis for weddings and
celebrations.
CEREMONY Take a moment before you walk through the doors and begin your married life, in one of our two beautiful ceremony rooms. The Queen Anne Ceremony Room is steeped in history and was once the room where Queen Anne stayed during her visit in the early 1700's. The Queen Anne Room is licenced for up to 80 guests. The Great Hall is a spectacular space for those looking for a larger ceremony space. The Great Hall is licenced for up to 120 guests.

RECEPTION We pride ourselves on our flexibility as a venue. We know no two love stories are the same and no two weddings should be either. You'll have a choice of either trestle tables, round table or a mixture of both. You get to choose the style of chairs and seat covers. All included with your venue hire price. The Great Hall can seat up to 80 guests and accommodate up to 120 for an evening reception. If you've a larger wedding party then that's no problem. We've extensive grounds at the house and can easily accommodate a marquee for 400 guests.
FOOD & DRINK
We partner with a handful of trusted suppliers who can
provide catering for your wedding celebration. Or if you'd
prefer we can also work with your own supplier, providing
they have the necessary insurances.
Our partners are experienced in all styles of cuisine. They can
cater for everything from casual to fine dining.
We'll work with you to choose the most appropriate supplier
to match your requirements and budget.
All alcohol is supplied by the venue. Please discuss your
preferred wines and welcome drinks with the wedding
manager. There is a corkage fee of £10 per bottle for wines
not supplied by the venue.
Throughout your reception and evening party the Chandos
Bar will be staffed and open for you and your guests to enjoy.TRUSTED PARTNERS

Exclusive Venue Hire: Weekends Friday, Saturday, Sunday April - September £4500 Weekends Friday, Saturday, Sunday October - March £2500 Price includes: - Exclusive use of house & grounds - Choice of chairs and tables for the reception and ceremony - White linen tablecloths & napkins* - On the day wedding manager supporting all the logistics - Staffed bar until midnight Plus, additional ceremony fees of circa £500 paid direct to registrar. Marquee Weddings - No additional ground hire fee. Exclusive venue hire fee, plus bespoke marquee build fee. A detailed marquee quote and specification can be provided on request.
