Students with a Junior Cert grade A or B at higher level are encouraged to take LC Hons Maths. Ideally students should have achieved at least a honours grade B in the JC if they intend taking Hons Maths. Certain courses require a H4 in Honours Maths e.g. Honours Engineering at UCD/TCD.
Key Questions for Students/Parents If I study Ordinary Level Maths in the Junior Cert, what subjects should I probably avoid? Physics, Chemistry and Accounting. They require a high level of mathematical aptitude.
