INFANT EDUCATION BACK TO CONTENTS Healthy Lunchtime Assistant Location: Thames View Infants, Bastable Avenue, Barking, IG11 0LG Hours: LLA 1 hour daily Term-time only (11:45-12:45 or 12:15-1:15) Contract: Permanent, Fixed Term and Relief Contracts Required: ASAP We’re giving our lunchtimes a healthy boost of active play and sport! We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our lunchtime team - whether to work regularly at school or on an “as and when” basis. The successful candidates will help our children get the most from our healthy lunchtimes – whether helping children enjoy our delicious lunchtime menu or leading energetic and active sport or play in our large grounds. Working alongside the current lunchtime team, the HLA will help make our lunchtime experience as healthy as possible for our children. You will be expected to support the children across the whole school in making nutritiously balanced food choices. You will also need to be able to organise fun physical activities that are both engaging and appropriate for the age group. You will need to be punctual, creative and able to demonstrate that you are able to use your own initiative and have a good understanding of the importance of healthy eating and physical activity. Experience of engaging, working and playing with young children is essential. An up to date First Aid qualification would be desirable. This post is also subject to a clear DBS check.
