6 THE SATURDAY EXPRESS, MARCH 10, 2018 neighbourly.co.nz ‘Politically correct’ fun at Rai A&P Show ANAN ZAKI People from across the top of the South Island came down to Rai Valley for the town’s 84th annual A&P Show on Saturday. With more than 60 stalls and 6000 people to cater for, the event was a chance to have a bit of fun. All eyes this year were on the Rai Challenge, where children used a Nerf gun to shoot dead possums. HPV is a common virus that spreads through intimate skin to skin contact. Without immunisation, most people will have an HPV infection at some point in their lives. Most HPV infections get better on their own and don’t cause any obvious symptoms. But some don’t get better, and can lead to cancer many years later if they aren’t detected and treated. If your child is in year 8 they will bring home a consent in the next few weeks. Alternatively the HPV vaccine is free at your GP until your 27th birthday.
