SPECTATE: THE RACES The HQ is at Teviotdale Leisure Centre. The start is just on the outskirts of Hawick on the Bonchester road and follows the A6088 to Carter Bar. At Carter Bar it turns left on to the TOUR OF BRITAIN – STAGE A68. This section of the route descends rapidly from the heights at Carter Bar with some sweeping switch-back turns and then on to Jedburgh. In SEVEN: HAWICK TO EDINBURGH Jedburgh, the riders head up a short, steep climb over the Dunion and back to Hawick by Denholm. Hawick and Edinburgh will play host to stage seven of the 2021 Tour of Britain The best and safest viewpoints are in Jedburgh, Denholm and at the finish on Saturday 11 September, as the race as the riders enter Hawick. ACTIVE TRAVEL NETWORK AT SCHOOL DISPLAY (28 AUGUST ONLY) The Hawick Active Travel Network, being developed as part of the town’s HAWICK AND DENHOLM PRIMARY Flood Protection Scheme, will enhance the existing paths creating safer, environmentally friendly ways to get around.
