Welcome Thank you for coming tonight to “Get Your Irish On.” Your membership and support of the Woodinville Chamber are truly appreciated. Your donations this evening will be instrumental in assisting the Chamber in the execution of its mission. In addition, during this evening’s “Raise the Paddle,” you will be supporting the Northshore Schools Foundation’s Opportunity Fund which helps remove financial barriers to students, giving them the chance to engage in social and academic programs that would otherwise be unavailable to them. We thank you for your support, we thank you for your generosity, and always; “May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face” Christopher Burgess Executive Director

Raise The Paddle Raise your paddle and help us remove barriers to success for students experiencing homelessness and many other challenges. Homelessness: Currently, there are at least 165 students in our district do not have a regular place to sleep. In Woodinville alone, we have 25 of these students. Financial insecurity: The reality of families in our community living paycheck-to-paycheck is daunting. More than 2,000 students in our district qualify for free or reduced lunches. There are many more families who are only one unfortunate circumstance away from not being able to provide for their children. Northshore Schools Foundation Drives solutions: Northshore Schools Foundation is working to provide academic and other support to help students so they can be ready to learn. Removes Barriers: Your donation today will be instrumental in removing barriers for students who demonstrate both commitment to, and excellence in, their education - but for economic reasons are unable to avail themselves of the same opportunities as their classmates. Creates Opportunity: One missed opportunity can create a domino effect of lost opportunities that ultimately results in students not being able to compete with their peers who did have those experiences - not because they didn’t have the skill, or the dedication, but because they didn’t have the resources.
Thank you to our Wee Sweetie (Dessert) Sponsor
About the Opportunity Fund How does your donation remove barriers for a student? • A student experiencing homelessness will have an ASB card, class photos and a gown to graduate in. • A student who places in an academic competition but is experiencing poverty will get to compete with their peers in national and regional competitions. • A student taking technical classes will earn the college credit associated with the class and can earn the credential and certification for which they are qualified for. • A family experiencing a crisis will receive funds to fill their gas tank and buy groceries, so they can concentrate on solving the issue at hand. Removing Barriers Creates Opportunity With your help today we will expand our Removing Barriers Fund to offer scholarships for students experiencing homelessness and financial limitations, to cover the enrollment costs for our academic clubs. Your donation will fund entry for students to a myriad of organizations which help create our next generation of entrepreneurs, including: FBLA - Future Business Leaders of America, DECA, HOSA - Health Occupations Students of America, Skills USA, Technology Student Association, and more. Remove barriers and opportunity blooms. Students get hands-on experiences making them ready for success and gainful career opportunities after high school. Please raise your paddle high and give opportunity to a future generation of business leaders.

General Rules By bidding in the live or silent auction, each bidder agrees to these auction rules. 1. At registration, each guest is given a bid card. To bid in the silent auction, simply write your bid number on the silent auction form next to the amount you wish to bid. The bid number next to the highest bid amount at the end of the silent auction will be declared the winner of that item. To bid in the live auction, hold your bid card so the auctioneer can clearly see your number. 2. A bid acknowledged by the live auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item. In the silent auction, the bid you have written on the silent auction form, and designated by the silent auction official as the top bid, is a legal contract to purchase the silent auction item. 3. Bidders will be served under the qCheck system and receipts will be mailed to guests following the auction. Payment in full at the auction is mandatory. 4. Auction items will be awarded to one purchaser only. The top bid amount for an auction item will not be split by cashiering among bidders who may have agreed to pay a portion of the top bid amount. A purchaser who wishes to split the payment for an auction item must independently collect the individual payments from the other bidder(s). 5. All purchases are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds on items, unless otherwise noted. 6. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid which is a partial advance over the prior bid increment. 7. We will gladly accept your payment by currency, check, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Please make your check payable to Woodinville Chamber of Commerce.
Thank you to our Table Sponsors
8. Unless otherwise noted, all goods, services and/or certificates must be claimed and used within one (1) year of the auction date. 9. The Woodinville Chamber reserves the right to add or withdraw items to or from the auction without notice. 10. Purchasers assume the responsibility to locate checkout and pick up their purchases from the auction premises. You will be asked to give your bid number to check for tangible items at the door when you depart. 11. Reservations for trips and vacation accommodations must be mutually arranged with the donor, unless otherwise noted. Tickets in travel packages are for coach class services, unless otherwise noted. No refunds will be allowed on travel packages for canceled tickets and/or accommodations. 12. Travel will be provided by donors as described, even if the prices increase above those stated. Because travel costs can change, this may decrease the stated values; however, no refunds will be offered. 13. The Woodinville Chamber has attempted to describe and catalog all items correctly; however, items are offered as-is. The Woodinville Chamber neither warrants nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No statement made in this catalog, or made orally at the auction or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability. The values listed are estimates only, and are not warranted for tax purposes or fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. 14. Bidders assume all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Bidders agree to hold harmless from any liability arising therefrom, the Woodinville Chamber, its elected and appointed officers, members and employees, the auctioneer(s), the auction company and its agents and employees, event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.
