On Jan. 1, state minimum wage goes to $12.15 Arizona’s minimum wage will increase by 15 cents per hour on Jan. 1, 2021, rising from $12 to $12.15. In 2016, Arizona voters imposed a $10 per hour minimum wage with substantial increases included for the next few years. In accordance with the Arizona Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act (Prop 206), beginning in 2021, the annual increase is to be determined by the Consumer Price Index, which is measured in August of the previous year. In August of 2020, the Consumer Price Index increased by 1.3%, and this translates to a 15 cent increase for the hourly minimum wage in Arizona at the beginning of the next calendar year (2021).
