1 Rwanda: A Global Leader in Plastic Pollution Reduction GAIA ·GER (2021) 2 Country information Rwanda is a small, land-locked country located in East Africa, dubbed ‘the Background land of a thousand hills’, thanks to its mountainous topography (FAO, 2020).
