Coming Events FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER See what’s happening in December at The Richardson. Welcome to our Summer Issue! Level Six is now open and we warmly welcome our new residents making The Richardson their home. Learning About the Brain Wednesday 4th December We have been fortunate to see Aureen commence as our Lifestyle Co-ordinator. Aureen has extensive B-B-Q lunch experience in the Aged Care sector and has Friday 6th December already made solid relationships with residents, staff and family. In this issue’s Lifestyle section Music Appreciation and going forward, you’re sure to see various Monday 9th December activities introduced that not only reflect what you have asked for, but will also keep you active both Buggles Tot’s mentally and physically. Monday 9th December Javier our Chef has also commenced. Javier Rock Choir Tuesdays 10th comes with a wealth of experience not only as a Chef, but also within the Aged Care and Health & 24th December environment. Introducing . . . Meet the dedicated team at The Richardson Aureen Miller Lifestyle Coordinator I have been at the Richardson for just over a month, so most of you know me, or at the very least have met me. I have been involved in the aged care industry for Speech Pathologist, all of whom were generous over twenty years. My journey began as a Physio in sharing their time and knowledge with me. Lifestyle News It’s been a busy spring! Aureen accompanied some of our ladies to their introduction to the children at Kidz Galore Day Care Centre. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the morning; reading stories, building towers and developing connections. The catch-ups will now be a regular activity in our calendar. November was a busy month at The Richardson starting with the renowned Melbourne Cup. This was a fun, lunch time event with finger food, a little wine, the obligatory Melbourne Cup Sweep and of course the Best Hat Award, which was won by Wendy Birman. On the 11th we took time out to remember all who had fallen as a result of international conflict, allowing those remaining to live in freedom and peace. It was heart-warming to have our residents participate in our into Aged Care interim report.
