The Theodore Roosevelt American History Awards The annual prize for the best thesis on a topic of American history by a Dutch MA student, the Theodore Roosevelt American History Award (TRAHA), was presented on April 21, 2006 in Middelburg. The prize, which has been awarded since 1987, is sponsored by the Theodore Roosevelt Association of Oyster Bay, New York, in memory of TR’s accomplishments as a historian. This year nine MA theses were submitted by students from the universities of Amsterdam, Leiden, Utrecht, Nijmegen and Groningen.
