EXPECTATIONS OF PARENTS The School’s ability to offer on-campus learning requires partnership between each family and the School to ensure risk of COVID-19 exposure and/or transmission is mitigated. By enrolling their child(ren) at Cardinal Charter Academy, parents agree to abide by all published health and safety protocols, as may be updated and amended at any time, including (but not limited to) those listed herein. Parents agree to assess their child(ren) for signs of illness and complete a daily health screening before coming to campus each day. If any sign of illness is present, parents will not transport a child to school, will inform the School Nurse accordingly, and will follow all required criteria before returning to school. Parents will immediately report any confirmed case of COVID-19 in their child(ren)’s household(s) to the School Nurse or school administration and keep their child(ren) off campus following the protocol for exposure outlined in the health guidelines. Parents understand that when their child(ren)’s temperature is taken at school, if the temperature is at or above 100.2 degrees (F), their child(ren) will be required to isolate and promptly leave campus. Parents will support their child(ren) in wearing a cloth face covering according to CCA’s cloth face coverings guidelines and understand that refusal to wear a mask will result in their child being sent home. Parents will follow federal, state, and local public health directives and adhere to CDC guidelines when traveling. Parents agree to abide by all School requests for a doctor’s clearance, COVID-19 testing, and/or precautionary at-home isolation for their child(ren) if the School Nurse or administrators have concerns about possible exposure risk.
