EVENT SPONSORSHIPS
We are excited to share our 2024 sponsorship packet with you. We will be focusing on two
fundraising events this year, the For the Love of Books and the Books On Tap and we need your
help. First a little about our program.
Starting From Birth
Reach Out and Read Kansas City (ROR-KC) is training medical providers at partner clinics to use
the book as a developmental assessment tool at the beginning of every well-child visit for children
birth to age five. They talk with parents about the importance of reading, talking, singing, and
playing daily and how that will result in school readiness. Then the book is sent home with a
‘prescription’ to read daily.
Our Impact in fiscal year 2022
• 61,469 books delivered to 26,078 children at 37 clinics throughout the Kansas City metro area
• 97% of parents reported receiving literacy advice at their child’s well-child visit
• 88% of parents reported reading to their child at least once a week

For the Love of Books Lunch | April 18, 2024, 11am - 1pm
Same venue, same great cause, new time and menu! Attendees will enjoy
a delicious sit down lunch at Grand Street Cafe while mingling with other
literacy loving professionals. Leave feeling inspired and more knowledgeable
about literacy in our community.

Attendees will enjoy an evening of family entertainment at Chicken N Pickle - OP. The
event will include a silent auction, raffle, games and the option to play in the 2nd annual
pickelball tournament. It promises to be a fun-filled evening for a great cause.
