RECYCLING GUIDE CURBSIDE ACCEPTED MATERIALS ITEMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT: Recycling should NOT be bagged. Bottles, Cans & Plastics are commingled Newspapers and cardboard are commingled Wood of any kind, pallets, fencing, concrete or any building materials, bathroom fixtures, toilets or kitchen cabinets and counters Glass Bottles & Jars, cleaned & rinsed. WILL NOT be collected. Plastics and Yogurt containers All of the following items must be put marked # 1, 2 or 5, cleaned & rinsed. in with your regular garbage only: Batteries Mirrors (taped) Food & Beverage cartons such as milk, Deodorant Containers Plastic Furniture juice, soy milk and broth can be recycled with bottles & cans, cleaned and rinsed. Egg Cartons Pool Covers Fast Food Containers Rigid Plastics Metal, Beverages & Food cans, Fertilizer & Mulch bags Salad Bar Containers cleaned & rinsed. Flower Pots Styrofoam Hose Toothpaste Containers Cardboard & Paper includes newspapers, Juice Pouches Toys & Lawn Furniture magazines, flattened cardboard & mail. A prescription pill take back box is located in the Police Department lobby. Books (hardcovers must be removed). Scrap Metal A dumpster is provided for residents at the Recycling Center for smaller scrap metal items.
METAL GOODS PICK UP RAMSEY RECYCLING CENTER INFO 2ND WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH Metal items are collected Borough wide once a month Location: Back of the Main St. southbound train station parking lot, to the left of the Borough garage on Erie Plaza. on the 2nd Wednesday. This includes stoves, Hours: refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, hot water 8:00AM—3:00PM Monday thru Friday heaters, and small appliances. Such items are known 3:00PM—8:00PM Monday evenings from April thru September as white goods. Other metal items include lawn 9:00AM—4:00PM Saturdays from April thru November mowers, barbeques, air conditioners, treadmills, etc. 9:00AM—3:00PM Saturdays from December thru March Please do not include white goods or other metals in Holiday Closures: 1/1, 1/18, 2/15, 4/2, 5/31, 7/5, 9/6, 10/11, 11/25 & 12/25 regular garbage or recycling pick up.
