As a result of it, the college was established in the year 2001 in the name of Upendra Nath Brahma, the father of the Bodos, for realising his dreams, aspirations and philosophies to be a noble being. The College was lucky enough to have the services of Dr. Dinanath Basumatary, the first Principal who dedicated himself and made many sacrifices to make the college a worthy institution of higher learning. It is worth mentioning to record the services of Dr. Nilpadmini Rabha, present Principal of the college who came forward to serve this institution at a time when its future was uncertain at the nascent time. Sri Kumud Narzary took the charge as Vice-Principal of the college and serving in his best capacity. 2
